Doodles range from mini to extra-large with a variety of coat types including wavy, curly, fleecy, wiry, or combinations of these textures. Despite popular misconceptions, some Doodles possess undercoats and may shed, whereas others do not. Grooming is a crucial aspect for all Doodles, although their specific needs can vary widely.

    With such a wide variety of doodles to choose from, ranging in size and coat type, determining an accurate price quote for grooming services can be challenging. Please note that any initial quote provided is not final until your pet has completed the grooming session. Prices are not fixed and may vary over time or between appointments, depending on the specific services required. For mini/small Doodles or Poodles weighing under 30 lbs, the starting price for a full groom is $140, while those over 30 lbs begin at $165. Additional charges may apply for de-matting and other factors, so pricing is subject to adjustment based on various considerations.

  • Grooming starts at home. The second you get your puppy, you want to introduce them to brushing, and being handled. Some sensitive areas you want your puppy to get used to being handled are the paws, face and tail. Professional grooming can start as early as 8 weeks old depending on vaccines or approval from veterinarian. During your puppies first few appointments, we will work with them to get used to the salon processes and the tools we use. Their first few appointments will consist of a bath, blow out, brushing and combing, trimming of the eye area, paws, and sanitary area. These appointments will set your puppy up for success for their future haircuts. We will not rush your pet into a haircut. Doing so can cause stress and create a fear of grooming that can last a lifetime. Grooming should be a regular routine for your pet, so staying on a consistent schedule is a must!

    PUPPY COAT MAINTENANCE

    Puppy coats are soft, and easy to manage. But as they get older, their coat will undergo many changes and it’s up to you to keep their coat healthy. Keeping them on a grooming schedule will definitely help keep their coats healthy, but daily brushing is also required. Especially for any type of Poodle/Doodle breeds. 

    Around 4-8 months, their adult coat will start to come in and it is usually a very different texture than their puppy coat. This change will last for several months and most puppies do not have their full adult coat until they are 8-14 months old. Many doodle coats resist shedding, this can cause severe matting as their puppy coat falls out and gets trapped under their adult coat. The coat change process requires diligent and frequent brushing as well as regular grooming to prevent matting.

BATH & HAIRCUT

  • For all breeds that require haircuts there are 3 factors that go into keeping your pet matt-free and looking their best!

    1. Frequency of professional grooming

    2. At-home maintenance 

    3. Length of haircut

    We will work with each client to find a balance between these factors that suit your budget, lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.

    For example, pets with long haircuts will need more frequent grooming appointments and will require a lot more at-home maintenance. On the other hand, if you go with a shorter haircut, you can go longer in between appointments (we never recommend going more than 6 weeks without an appointment.)

HAIR COLORING - Starting at $40

Add temporary, semi-permanent, or permanent color to your pup’s with all-natural, veterinarian-approved dyes in a variety of fun shades and colors. Pricing is just for one color on one of either the tail, paws or ears. Be sure to request color when scheduling your appointment.

Temporary - $30+ tail, paws or ears. color shampoo - limited colors available

Permanent - $50+ tail, paws, ears -one color

Designs or body coloring is $150/hr

Pricing varies depending on the specifics of the dye job. We will not be able to offer coloring for pets with skin sensitivity/allergies and/or if pet cannot stay in place for grooming. All dogs may not be able to color due to behavior. This process takes time and patience for the pup.

NAIL TRIM & FILE - $25-$32

Have your dog’s nails trimmed and filed by our expert groomers. $25-$27 for small and medium breeds, $32 for large breeds. If your dog is difficult, an extra charge may apply or the service may be stopped for the safety of the dog and groomer.

Add a fun pop of color to your pup’s toes with a pet-safe, all-natural nail color for an additional $5/paw

ANAL GLAND EXPRESSION (EXTERNAL) - $20

If your pup is licking or scooting their booty they may need an expression of their anal sacs.

We always advise a veterinarian to do an internal expression if scooting and licking continues.

Sanitary Trim $20

Shaving private areas

Ear Cleaning $15-$25

Cleaning out any debris/wax out of the ear with soothing alcohol free ear cleaner.

Depending on the breed, light ear hair plucking if necessary to clear out the ear canal to support ear health.

Paw Soak

If your Pup is suffering with itchy irritated paws from allergies or even from bacteria picked up from taking walks Warren Londons Deep cleaning paw fizz soak helps stop paw licking and irritation by moisturizing and cleansing the paws with all natural ingredients - White tea tree oil, seaweed extract and sunflower oil.

Depending on the issue your pup may need multiple soaks 1-2 times a week.

DEMATTING - Price Varies

If your pet requires dematting services, additional charges will apply dependent on the breed, severity of the matting, and/or behavior. Matting can be a serious issue with long-term health implications, so please call us to discuss any concerns around matting or other coat-related problems. Dematting will not be something that we will do at every appointment for your pup. We want to make the experience as pleasant as possible. We need parents to brush and maintain coat in between groomings if you cannot maintain regular brushing you can schedule a Bath & Brush or Bath & Tidy in between haircut appointments

TEETH BRUSHING - $10

Dogs’ teeth need regular brushing to protect their longevity. Add this to your service for professional teeth brushing, finished with a freshening dental spray.
